Why I Started My Business?

The back story to why I started my business came from a traumatic experience. In January of 2020, my grandparents were in a bad car accident. My grandmother sustained many injuries that caused her to be hospitalized and my grandfather had a few bumps and bruises.

I had no clue that my life was about to change dramatically.

My grandmother passed away two weeks after being in the hospital and I with the help of my sister took on the responsibility of taking care of my grandfather who suffered from dementia. I had to put my life on hold and become an instant caregiver. When I tell yall this was the hardest most wonderful thing that I would ever experience in my life. My grandfather was hard broken when my grandmother passed away and 9 months to the day of her passing he went to join the love of his life on the other side. 7 months after my grandfather passed I lost my mother due to cancer and the father of my youngest daughter passed away 6 days after my mother from a heart attack in his sleep.

I hate to tell my story because it sounds like a Lifetime movie but it's my reality.

I quit my job to take care of my grandfather and to support myself I drove for Uber and Lyft on the weekends when my sister was off and spent the weekdays with my grandfather and my kids. This sparked my interest in working for myself. For the first time in my life I could work when I wanted to and anytime my kids had something they wanted to do I could actually be there. I started to go out with my sister (Vivi) and enjoy myself but the problem with that was there were only 3 stores where I could find clothes that fit my style of how I wanted to dress.

“This was a problem that had to be fixed.”

Fast forward to today, Full Figure Boss Boutique is here to our trendy plus size fashion for all curvy women at affordable prices.

The highlight of my days now is when I get messages from other women who felt the same way I did about trying to find clothes and knowing that my business is helping to fix that issue for so many women.
